Sunday School Launch, Procedures and Cohort Schedules
As of Sunday, November 8, 2020, we have now launched a two month trial Sunday School program for children in Grades JK – 5. We have done our best to strategically divide our regularly attending children into three cohorts, who will attend our VBS style Sunday School program on assigned weeks. The cohort assignments have been sent to regular church attendees via email to ensure privacy is protected, but if you have not received this email or if your child/ren are not included in a cohort and you would like them to be, please contact Pastor Scott or Adam and they will be appropriately assigned to a group.
We appreciate your patience with us as we plan and execute this program, remaining aware of all the appropriate and applicable regulations. Our desire is operate a program that all are as comfortable as possible in attending. As some of our congregants have auto-immune conditions and other health concerns that heighten the possible impact of COVID, we ask you to be mindful of local health guidelines and assist us in creating as safe an experience as possible. This program will be reviewed after the two month trial and additional plans for Sunday School programming will be provided for a January – March time frame in early January 2021.
Procedure
- Upon arrival, one of our Welcome Staff will check in your child/ren if they are attending the Sunday School program using our KidCheck system. If you have yet to register your children through this system, please contact Pastor Scott or Adam for details on how to do this.
- Your child/ren will then be directed to the Fireside Room for their Sunday School program.
- We ask that your child/ren use the hand sanitizer station upon entrance to the Fireside Room and, in line with present government guidelines, we remind you that face masks are mandatory for all individuals over the age of two and must be worn at all times within our church facility. If your child/ren are unable to adhere to the guidelines, we ask that you please keep them with you in service.
- Our Sunday School program is approximately 30 minutes long and children will return to join their parents for the worship in song portion of our service during the 5 minute discussion/fellowship time provided each week.
