We know that COVID-19 has affected us all and, though you might not see us meeting as we usually do, Hillside Church has not gone anywhere. That’s because we know that a church is not a building … it’s a collection of people, a diverse collection of people who seek to see positive community developed.
You’ll find us in neighbourhoods all throughout East Gwillimbury. Find a home with a Hillside Connect sign and you’ll know that you’ve found a home with people ready to help. We have a heart to help in our community however we can and this is why we have started our Connect ministry. We are here to help by:
- meeting tangible needs (ie. assistance with running errands, household projects)
- creating community connection (ie. phone call conversations for support and encouragement)
- offering prayer
In future, we look to develop this initiative to connect community members with the various services available in our area. This page will feature a curated collection of community support contacts such as food banks, mental health professionals, resources for families and other local service providers.
