Pastor Brian began his pastoral ministry in March 2014 and currently serves as the Lead Pastor of Hillside Church. Brian and his wife, Grace, were both raised in Toronto and are blessed with three children: Onyu, Soyu, and Jiyu.

Before entering full-time ministry, Brian was an active jazz guitarist in the Greater Toronto Area. He later pursued theological training at Tyndale Seminary. As a professional musician, he has worked as a session guitarist on several albums, including Priceless (True Worshipers 12, 2013), Rise Again (Sunnie, 2013), and Can I Sing For You? (Yoojin Cho, 2012). He has performed regularly with numerous Juno Award nominees and winners, collaborated with the Korean worship band AGAPAO, and worked alongside various Korean pop singers and artists.

In addition to his pastoral ministry, Brian actively engages in digital ministry through his YouTube channel, Brian Moon Music (www.youtube.com/@brianmoonmusic), where he shares theological reflections, personal faith insights, and musical content. Through this platform, he seeks to communicate the Gospel creatively and thoughtfully, bridging faith, art, and everyday life.

Brian’s ministry passion lies in participating in urban missions within the GTA, cultivating Kingdom culture both inside and outside the church, and helping Christians embody the Gospel through both word and deed. He has a deep appreciation for creative arts in all their forms and enjoys reading, meaningful conversations, playing basketball, and—most of all—sharing a good cup of coffee.
